Fastned Gentbrugge: Jeco Energies lays the electric foundation for 36 charging points
If you drive along the E17, you will see Fastned’s yellow charging stations on both sides of the motorway in Gentbrugge. Gentbrugge North and South are Fastned’s largest charging locations to date. Passengers can charge their electric car during a break; There are separate loading bays for truck drivers. Together, the two locations offer 32 charging points up to 400 kW for cars and four charging points for trucks.
This scale places high demands on the power supply. Fastned wanted to offer space for many vehicles at both locations, with charging points that can deliver high power. To do this, the electrical infrastructure had to be worked out from the connection to the charging systems.
Jeco Energies took care of the high-voltage engineering and installed and integrated the transformers, switchgear, cabling and power distribution. Our teams thus laid the electrical foundation for the charging points on both sides of the E17.
Gentbrugge shows how a stop along the highway is changing now that cars and trucks are also driving electrically. For the driver, it remains simple: stop, connect and drive on. Behind that experience is the electrical infrastructure that Jeco Energies helped build.
