Industrial Automation
Jeco Energies & Dymotec
Jeco Energies has acquired majority stake in Dymotec and takes next step in industrial automation.
HERENTALS, September 22, 2022 – Jeco Energies, market leader in emergency solutions for high-voltage installations and technical services for industrial electrical installations, this month took a majority stake in Dymotec. By doing so, Dymotec secures a strong market position in the future and Jeco Energies invests in industrial automation as an expansion segment.
Dymotec, based in Olen, has been a specialist in industrial automation for over 25 years. The company’s activities include electrical engineering, software engineering, installation work and sign building. This forms an ideal complement to the portfolio of Jeco Energies, which already has important reference points in the energy sector with DSG and Gens Rental.
“Like Jeco Energies, Dymotec focuses on total solutions for industrial customers, which means that our way of working and the services we offer are already very similar,” says Jef Van den Brande, owner of Jeco Energies. “Moreover, there is not only a match between the activities of both companies, but also between the visions, structured approach, thorough customer service and working mentality. We are complementary in all aspects with a strong synergy between the teams.”
Recent changes
In June 2022, Jef’s team announced it would continue under the new name Jeco Energies, following a merger of DSG Belgium, DSG Netherlands and their independent spin-off GENS Rental. Also joining the team was Bob Zegers as the new CEO at the helm. “So a lot of big changes,” Bob says. “Also the participation in Dymotec fits perfectly into the framework of our strategic growth plan. We like to expand organically and also combine these objectives with smart acquisitions to increase our market share. In this way we can serve our customer base even better and grow into an all-in-one service provider in more and more areas.”
“Because of this ambition, we are looking for new talents to work together to become the pioneers in the energy and automation solutions of the future.”

Pioneers in energy
Dymotec will come under the wings of Jeco Energies Group from the end of September, but internally everything will remain the same. “We will continue as before, but now with a strong partner at our side to support our growth ambitions,” say Sven Bos and Davy Nuydens, directors and co-shareholders of Dymotec. Bob Zegers agrees: “Because of this ambition, we are looking for new talents to become together the pioneers in the energy and automation solutions of the future.”
