Jeco Energies expands in the Netherlands with the acquisition of Trafohuis - LV Trading B.V.
Bergambacht/Herentals, April 3, 2025 – Jeco Energies, a specialist in energy solutions for both temporary and permanent applications as well as industrial automation, is taking the next step in its growth strategy with the acquisition of Trafohuis - LV Trading. The Dutch company specializes in the construction of complete transformer and switchgear stations, as well as battery solutions.
Trafohuis, based in Bergambacht near Rotterdam, has been active in the energy market for over 12 years and specializes in the purchase and sale of transformers, transformer stations, and medium-voltage switchgear installations. The company supplies both new and used components, as well as complete transformer stations that meet the stringent requirements of European grid operators. With an annual supply of over 250 stations and a turnover of 20 million euros, Trafohuis has established itself as a flexible and reliable partner in the sector.
Additionally, through its subsidiary IV Services, Trafohuis manages and maintains more than 1,000 stations. The extensive service activities of IV Services align perfectly with the existing service division of Jeco Energies.
Marco van Gink, CTO of Trafohuis: "Our company has experienced significant growth in recent years. Our team has expanded, and we have developed new products, such as our certified E-compact transformer station. The synergy between the companies within the group allows us to increase our market share, expand our inventory, and further shorten delivery times. With the acquisition by Jeco Energies, we are jointly expanding our knowledge and capacity. The previous acquisition of Applitech, one of our key suppliers, is a great example of this. By joining forces, we are ready to play an even greater role in the energy transition and the energy supply of the future. We look forward to growing together and are proud to be part of Jeco Energies."
The acquisition of Trafohuis is a strong addition to the expertise and services of Jeco Energies, which is already active in the Netherlands. By joining forces, we create an even broader offering in the field of transformer stations, medium-voltage installations, and services. With the combined knowledge and experience of both companies, and the earlier acquisition of the Dutch company Applitech BV this year, a solid foundation is being laid for further growth and innovation.

Jan Van Nuffel, CEO of Jeco Energies, adds: "Our strength lies not only in technology and services but especially in the people who build them every day. We are therefore very pleased to welcome the expert team of Trafohuis to our group. Their expertise and dedication are of great value. By joining forces, we strengthen our organization and create new opportunities for employees and customers."
Jeco Energies and Trafohuis will work closely together in the coming period to further optimize existing quality standards and service levels. With a shared vision of innovation and sustainability, and a strong team that complements each other, we are taking the next step toward a future-proof energy supply.
